Introduction: Dental pain leads to reduced daily activities and poor quality of life, low level laser therapy (LLLT) is considered a recent technique in the dental field. Objective: To analyze literature about use LLLT, its applications for control, inflammation controversy benefits different branches dentistry such as Endodontics, Periodontics, Orthodontics Photobiomodulation. Methodology: An extensive search was carried out PubMed, SCOPUS Google Scholar databases, analyzing keywords: therapy, photodynamic phototherapy. Results: Post-endodontic treatment manifests itself after root canal treatment, but LLLT promotes analgesia, modulation inflammatory process, well healing surrounding tissues. Pain could be major concern orthodontic practice, application accelerate tooth movement applied immediately force. Photodynamic new alternative periodontal treatments, since it presents antimicrobial effects, elimination endotoxins secreted by microorganisms reduces biological activity cells responsible production proinflammatory cytokines. At present, photobiomodulation one fastest growing areas biomedical science, light LED induce an effect healing, ATP synthesis improve differentiation capacity cells. Conclusion: In area dentistry, therapeutic has biostimulating properties causing that post-treatment surgical procedures present significant decrease.
